Trustees
Charlie Fox (Co-Chair) is an architect specializing in residential design. He served on the board of the Jamaica Pond Association from 2001 to 2007, chairing its Zoning Committee for part of that time. He sat on the Zoning Committee of the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council from 1986 to 1993.
Ramon Martin (Co–Chair) is a physician and anesthesiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He has lived on Eliot Street since 1977, where he and his wife raised four children, all of whom spent their formative years taking classes at the Eliot School. His wife, Patricia, recently retired from teaching in the Boston Public School system. Ramon also serves on the Board of Directors of Roxbury Latin School.
Terry Murray (Treasurer) is Managing Member of Eliot Street Capital LLC, a real estate investment firm, with past experience as an attorney. He is a member of the Real Estate Committee for Partners Healthcare. He served as trustee for Providence Country Day School through 2009 and for YouthBuild Boston through 2007.
Joy Silverstein (Secretary) is owner of Fresh Hair Salon, which she founded in 1982. She is past President and long-time member of Jamaica Plain Business & Professional Association. She sat on the Shule Committee of Boston Workmen's Circle from 2000 to 2006.
Braulio Felipe is Business Manager of Ecumenical Social Action Committee (ESAC) in Jamaica Plain, a multi-service agency dedicated to ensuring the stability of neighborhoods and improving the quality of life for their most vulnerable residents.
David Hodes Friedman is Professor of Architectural History at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a member of the College Art Association and the Society of Architectural Historians. He has received numerous fellowships and awards for his work on urban design and architecture in Renaissance Italy. He is a woodworking student at the Eliot School.
Aaron Krakow is a partner of Krakow & Souris, LLC, a law firm representing labor unions and their affiliated pension, health and apprenticeship plans throughout New England. He is a member of the Lawyers Coordinating Committee of the AFL-CIO and of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Marilyn Mase is an artist, an adjunct faculty member at Wentworth Institute of Technology, a member of Experimental Etching Studios and a past trustee of Community Music Center of Boston and Ballet Rox. She has shown her art most recently at Mills Gallery, Duxbury Art Complex Museum and May Snow Gallery, and her illustrations can be seen in the Boston Red Sox children’s book, Wally the Green Monster.
Bonnie McBride is Director of Individual Giving at Sportsmen's Tennis & Enrichment Center (formerly Sportsmen's Tennis Club). She has been Director of Mission Advancement for Cathedral High School, and worked in development for other educational institutions. She is a longtime member of the Board of Overseers of Rogerson Communities, and served on the Jamaica Plain Community Centers’ Board of Directors from 1996-1998.
Dana Rashti is Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Communications. He earlier had a long career in financial services marketing with Bank of America and its antecedents. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Ad Club of Boston, the Board of Overseers of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and the Board of Directors of the Boston Public Market Association. He has a BA in both Political Science and Studio Art, and an MA in International Finance. He has taken occasional classes at the Eliot School.
Asri Onur Sergici is Assistant Vice President at State Street Associates, where he is part of the Portfolio & Risk Management Group, working with institutional investors. Onur’s grandfather was founder of one of Turkey’s foremost furniture companies. He comes to the Eliot School through the Business on Board program of the Arts & Business Council.
Melvin Tutiven is Assistant Vice President of Mt. Washington Bank and Manager of the bank's Jamaica Plain branch, where he directs retail operations and support for local non-profit organizations. Since moving from Ecuador to the United States in 1989, he has worked in financial services and related industries.
