Celebrate Our Community’s Creations!

In just a few weeks, on Saturday, April 27 from 11 AM – 3 PM, The Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts is hosting a Spring Showcase as part of Boston Design Week 2024, an annual city-wide celebration of designers and the organizations that support them taking place from April 23 - May 5. We decided to utilize the occasion to celebrate the work of the students, instructors, and staff who contribute their time, energy, and creativity to make the Eliot School the unique and vibrant community it is.

Our showcase is completely FREE and no RSVP is necessary! Participating in this event isn’t just a great way to get to know the Eliot School and our community better, it is also an opportunity to connect with and learn from experienced artisans as well as amateur enthusiasts about their artistic experiences and creations.

Any student or instructor who has participated in a class with us since July 1, 2023, is welcome to sign up to display your resulting artwork, as long as you fill out this submission form before April 21. Everyone else is invited to attend and behold the beauty of their creations. So, if you plan to show your work, make sure you invite your family, friends, and neighbors to witness your artistic prowess first-hand.

The showcase will take place in our Schoolyard at 24 Eliot St. in Jamaica Plain with the option, in the event of unfavorable weather, to move inside to our sewing and art rooms on the second floor of our historic Schoolhouse. If you would like to meet fellow art lovers and crafting fanatics, pick up some recommendations and inspiration, and/or find your next favorite art class, then you are not going to want to miss this sensational showcase!
