Basic Woodworking: Box
An introduction to the fundamentals of woodworking. Start with a given plan and work it through completion using hand and power tools. We will cover shop safety, an appreciation of the properties of wood, interpreting a plan, cutting and milling stock, and basic joinery, always stressing safe, effective use of tools.
Completion qualifies students for Woodworking Open Shop. Complete attendance is required to fulfill this requirement. Other excellent follow-up classes include:

Note: Because this class moves at a deliberate pace and serves as a pre-requisite, complete attendance is required. Please see our policies on withdrawals and refunds before registering.
We recommend you enroll early, as this popular class usually fills up.
