Comics I - Ages 9-12

Make your own comic book. Looking at anime and manga, learn how to tell stories in visual form. Then create dynamic characters, stories and visuals with a collaborative artist–writer teaching team.

Students may take this class for multiple semesters and continue to build skills each time. For ages 13–17, take Comics II.

Materials

Section 2S (Saturdays) with Rachel Maguire: All materials will be provided.

Section 1S (Thursdays) with Rob Stull, please bring:

  • A small stack of white typing paper
  • A small note-pad
  • Some pencils (mechanical pencils are best)
  • A ruler
  • A folder for your work

All other materials will be supplied.
