Design for Artisans

Explore the expressive potential of color and texture inherint in design. Through a series of exercises using paint and othe rmaterials, understand how visual and actual texture apply to patterning, rhythm, composition and visual organization. Examine how various techniques can assist subject matter, including the color dimensions of hue, value and intensity. We'll include a cultural and historical overview of color and texture methods in painting and crafts. All levels welcome.
