Design for Artisans: Color & Repeating Pattern

Design for Artisans

Broaden your understanding of visual organization and design as they apply to patterns, emphasizing the design process – from idea generation to finished design. Projects explore formal concepts of balance, placement, figure-ground, light and shade, repetition and rhythm. Explore strategies for creating repeated patterns using grids and radial organizations. All levels welcome.

You’ve been learning skills – how to join wood, finesse a seam, bind a book. Now increase the beauty and sophistication of your work through our series of Design for Artisans classes. What creates balance (or imbalance), pleasure, fascination, energy and depth?
