Graphic Narrative: Comics for Adults

Tell stories through sequential images with dialog, action and symbolism. Create orginal stories for comic strips, comic books, graphic novels and any other form of graphic narrative you can dream up, with any subject matter. The emphasis will be on how we communicate with sequential narrative (not on how to draw cartoon characters). We will explore the pictograms, iconography and visual grammar used by masters of comic media, and we’ll move through the entire process of sequential story-telling as an art, from concept to print.
